She cautiously lowered her hand, avoiding direct eye contact.

Bennett's grin grew wider as he playfully said, “Really? Then what's causing that blush?"

"It's just... hot in here!"

"Isn't the air conditioner on?"

"I just... feel a bit overheated!" Claudia blurted out.

Chuckling at her obvious discomfort, Bennett said, “How about I get you a drink to cool you down?"

But instead of leaving immediately, he leaned closer, his face merely inches from hers. With a sly smile, he whispered, "Or perhaps there's another way I could help you cool down?"

Feeling his warm breath on her, she said, “By being intimate?"

The moment the words left her mouth, her mind went blank.

Surprised by her own words, Claudia hastily placed a hand over her mouth. But soon, she realized it did little to take back her words.

When she removed her hand, it accidentally brushed against Bennett's hand that was supporting himself.

The unexpected touch made her withdraw her hand swiftly as if she got an electric shock.

Bennett, with eyes as profound as a dark ocean, inquired, "Could you repeat what you just said?"

Looking at his deep eyes, Claudia held the bed sheet tightly, her heartbeat echoing in her ears. Mustering some courage, she said, "Should we... make love, like a married couple should?"

But after asking, she looked forward to it inexplicably.

Bennett focused his gaze on the woman beneath him. As she blushed and attempted to look away, he reached out and gently held her face.
