Chapter: 1108
"I won't," she replied quickly, moving to the bathroom with the clothes. There, she identified her familiar underwear.
As expected, there were flecks of blood on them.
For the past two months, she had been in good health, and her periods had become lighter and lighter. She didn't even notice it tonight.
If Bennett hadn't seen it, then...
Claudia didn't dare to dwell on it. She swiftly placed her underwear in the designated washing machine and her other clothes in a separate one.
Once she had set the machines, she left the bathroom.
She was still red after doing that.
Bennett had already replaced the bed sheets. When he noticed her coming out, he glanced at her bare feet and immediately approached her, saying, “Why aren't you wearing slippers?”
Claudia glanced at her feet, realizing she wasn't wearing anything.
Feeling a bit silly, she admitted, “I forgot."
Earlier, when Bennett had carried her to the restroom, she hadn't worn any slippers. And afterward, she forgot to put them on.
Bennett placed her on the bed and cradled her feet.
While Claudia's feet didn't feel chilly before, they warmed considerably under Bennett's large, comforting hands. The sensation, similar to a gentle massage, made her relish the moment.
But not long after Bennett warmed her feet with his hands, he fetched some tissues from her dresser. He returned, cleaned her feet, and tucked her under a thin blanket, advising, "Go to sleep early."
The bed sheets had been replaced, and the fresh-smelling sheets from the wardrobe were now on the bed.
Holding the quilt with both hands, Claudia blinked at him and asked, "What about you?"
With a chuckle, Bennett replied, "I'm off to shower."
He paused, looked at her, and added, “It's not a cold shower."
Claudia's cheeks blushed.
Hiding her face behind the blanket, she mumbled, "Then, good night."
"Good night."
Bennett switched off the main light, leaving only a night Lamp on.
The room's lighting instantly dimmed. Claudia, who had been awake, now felt drowsy and ready to sleep.
She yawned, noticing the bathroom door shut. After a few blinks, sleep embraced her.
