Chapter: 1115
"It may rain. Take an umbrella with you."
"Okay."
Jace's consideration warmed Elmo's heart. He took an umbrella and went out of the ward.
Not long after he left, a beautiful woman walked into Jace's ward.
When Jace noticed the newcomer, his face darkened.
Jace looked at the woman and asked, “What the hell do you want?"
The woman gave a cold smile and asked in return, "Was that Claudia who just left?"
Claudia was his only weakness, and everyone knew that. So when Jace heard this woman mention her, he lost it.
"If you dare harass her, I will make you regret it!"
The woman laughed at his threat and said, "It all depends on how sincere you show yourself to be."
As she spoke, she took out a bank card and put it in front of Jace.
"I can see you care about your daughter a lot. But don't forget that I'm also your daughter."
The woman's face suddenly turned stone cold, as if she had hit the topic that actually hurt her.
"Now, if you don't want Claudia to know about any of this, you'd better hurry. Here is the card. You have three days to show me just how important this is to you."
Jace picked up the card and broke it in two.
"You must be dreaming.
I only have one daughter and that's not you."
"Oh, really? If you don't want to admit it, I'll gladly do a paternity test now. We are after all, in a hospital. But just so you know, if the results prove me right, money won't be able to solve your problem then.
I don't want to take you away from Claudia. So don't worry about that. I mean, I've never had a father since a childhood. I won't start longing for one now. During all that time, you've lived a happy life. If you want to remain a good father in front of your precious daughter, you'd better pay the price."
“Fuck off! Get out of here!"
The woman shrugged casually at Jace's outburst and left the ward.
Jace held the bed behind him, trembling with anger.
He looked at the imposter's back until she disappeared. He raised his hand and wiped the sweat that had pooled on his forehead.
Jace couldn't accept the fact the he had an illegitimate daughter who was not much younger than Claudia.
