Chapter: 1126
"Good night. I'm hanging up. Go to bed early.”
She disconnected the call.
Bennett couldn't help but chuckle.
"Jackson, change my flight reservation to noon tomorrow.”
Jackson nodded.
"Sure."
The team had resolved most of the problems. Only a few loose ends needed to be tied up.
Considering that, there was no need for Bennett to stay on. He glanced at Jackson and said, "You should stay on for a few more days and return to Linmarsh after it's all settled."
"Okay."
Bennett waved his hand, saying, "Arrange for a car. We'll go back to the hotel in ten minutes."
He needed to be sensitive to Claudia's needs, especially during such a crucial time.
With her father undergoing an operation, being there for Claudia and his father-in-law was essential.
Without his presence, she would be on her own and worried.
He knew he had to return and be by her side.
The following morning, after their discussions, Bennett headed to the airport, leaving the remaining tasks for Jackson to handle.
At this hour, the airport was relatively empty, and the business class section even more so. Bennett nestled into his seat and took a nap.
Felicity, upon boarding her plane, immediately noticed a striking man seated by the window in the foremost business class seat. His good looks sent her heart racing.
Over the years, she'd had a string of boyfriends, but each relationship fizzled out of her lack of genuine interest.
It seemed she hadn't yet met someone she truly connected with.
But seeing the man before her, she felt an instant pull-what some might call love at first sight.
After all those years, she had finally found the perfect man for her.
She had initially thought changing her flight to this time was unfortunate, but now she believed it was destiny.
Seeing her standing still in the aisle, a flight attendant approached her, asking, “Miss, can I help with your seat?"
Hearing the stewardess's voice, Felicity took her eyes off him and looked at the seat number on the ticket.
