Chapter: 1153
It was mid-October, and at this time of the year, it wasn't very hot in Linmarsh. The sun hadn't set yet, but one could hardly feel its heat.
Claudia stared at the swimming pool for a moment, then reached out with her leg to test its temperature. She pulled her leg back almost instantaneously and closed the door on swimming for today. The water was quite cool.
Just as she walked out of the gym, Bennett walked into the house.
Sweat was dripping from Claudia's body after her work out. When she saw Bennett, she instinctively ran to give him a hug, but stopped midway.
Bennett raised his eyebrows and gave her a funny look.
"Why did you stop?"
“I just came from the gym. I'm sweating."
He smiled and pulled her into his arms regardless. After a natural kiss, he asked, “Was today's part-time job easy?"
"It was."
Claudia nodded and went into details.
"Mr. Quinn is a rather strange man, but he's also very frank. I recorded it three times and he just agreed to give me the money."
Her eyes were shining bright as she added excitedly, "It's so easy to earn money!"
Bennett smiled, her excitement contagious.
“I doubt it would have been so easy for any other person."
Marcia came out of the dining room at this time and said, “Sir, Madam, dinner will be ready in ten minutes."
As soon as she heard the maid's voice, Claudia subconsciously pushed Bennett away and glanced at Marcia with a blush.
"I'll go upstairs and take a shower first."
"Okay," Bennett answered and let her go.
With quick steps, Claudia ran upstairs, leaving Bennett to look at her back with an amused smile playing on his lips.
The next day, Claudia went to complete the discharge formalities for Jace early in the morning.
She personally drove him back and stayed long enough to have Lunch with him before she went back home.
She had barely gotten into the house when she received a call from Leif.
Leif reminded her that court would be in session the day after tomorrow.
She almost forgot about it. The case of the popular restaurant wasn't closed last time. After she filed a lawsuit against the restaurant, the court trial was set for October 20th.
