Chapter: 1233
Claudia nodded and rose from his lap. "Try not to take too long.”
"Okay."
With flustered cheeks, Claudia went back to the bedroom.
Left alone in the study, Bennett could still feel Claudia's essence in the room. He could smell her sweet fragrance on his body.
He closed his eyes for a few seconds, regaining his composure, and then put his glasses back on.
As his gaze returned to the computer screen, he focused intently, and there was no trace of romance left in his black eyes.
Claudia returned to the bedroom, finding it was already 10:30 p.m.
They had unexpectedly become caught up in their intimacy for over ten minutes.
As she lay in bed, Claudia recalled the recent kiss and blushed again.
She intended to wait for Bennett to finish his work so they could go to bed together, yet drowsiness overtook her.
After struggling to keep her eyes open repeatedly, she finally succumbed to exhaustion and fell asleep.
Claudia wasn't sure when Bennett had joined her in bed, but she sensed his sturdy arms embracing her.
She nestled herself into his chest, feeling comforted and secure, and before long, she drifted off into a peaceful slumber again.
Claudia didn't get out of bed until eight the next morning.
When she woke up, Bennett had already gotten dressed.
When he noticed her waking up, he turned and approached her bedside.
He gently lifted her and planted a tender kiss on her forehead. “I'm heading to the company, Claudia."
Her arms wrapped around his neck, Claudia nodded slowly and said, "Okay."
With that, she released her embrace, settled back on the bed, and gave him a little wave goodbye.
Bennett paused to give her a warm smile, then after a brief moment, he left the bedroom.
Claudia remained seated on the bed until the sleepiness faded. Then she slipped on her slippers and dashed to the balcony just in time to see Bennett heading out.
The gate blocked her view, preventing her from seeing him get into his car.
A few seconds later, a black Bentley glided into sight and then vanished down the street.
She waited until it was no longer visible before returning to her room to freshen up.
