"Yes."
He took the glass and downed more than half of it.
As Claudia watched Bennett's throat move, she suddenly felt a little thirsty.
Bennett finished his water and went for more, his gaze never Leaving her.
Feeling shy under his stare, Claudia inquired, “Are you worn out? Maybe you'd like to rest?"
“I'm not tired." He turned off the tap and took a leisurely sip.
“Are you done with piano for today?"
Blushing, Claudia admitted, “Yes, I've finished."
Glancing at his watch, Bennett suggested, “How about we go out for dinner?"
Upon hearing his suggestion, she quickly shook her head and replied, “Marcia has prepared soup. We should eat at home tonight."
Bennett, as usual, would listen to her when it came to such a trivial matter.
He only sipped half of his second glass of water before setting it aside.
After a moment, Bennett looked at her and admitted, “I'm feeling quite tired."
“Do you want to rest for a bit?" Claudia inquired.
“Would you stay with me?"
“OF course."
Agreeing, Claudia followed him up the stairs to their bedroom.
Walking behind Bennett, she remembered the upcoming dinner party and wanted to mention that she had tried on her dress and it fit perfectly.
Just as she was about to speak, Bennett, who had just stepped into the room, reached out and pulled her inside.
Claudia stared at him, astonished. In the next moment, she found herself pinned against the door, receiving his deep, assertive kiss.
She let out a soft moan, which he immediately silenced with his lips.
Caught completely off guard, she was overwhelmed by the kiss. Within seconds, her mind went blank, leaving her only aware of the soft pressure of his lips.
Her breathing grew heavy, washing over her face like waves. The warmth spread from her cheeks through her body, igniting a fiery sensation everywhere.
The heat was intense.
