Chapter: 1335
"This name seems familiar."

"Um... He's actually my boyfriend," Darlene mumbled.

Felicity was a bit stunned, but her curiosity kicked in about how Claudia ended up marrying Bennett. "So, how did they get married?"

"I'm not sure, but after Claudia got out of the hospital, she and Bennett went to get the marriage certificate, and they even made a public announcement about it."

Wearing an embarrassed expression, Felicity uttered in a weak voice, "So, what I said about them earlier was utter nonsense!"

Darlene remained silent and started the car quietly. The car smoothly rolled into motion with a soft hum.

Seated in the passenger seat, Felicity felt like she had never been so embarrassed in her entire life.

Actually, not long after it went down, the news spread like wildfire all over the circle.

Tonight, Felicity became the subject of laughter and soon after, the news made its way to her brother, Xavier.

As a clever person, Xavier had discerned the deeper meaning in Bennett's words during their lunch last week.

Tonight, he just seized the moment to reveal what Felicity had been up to behind his back.

"Felicity! Haven't I told you already? She's married. Why'd you have to create a scene tonight? Isn't it embarrassing enough for our family?" Xavier scolded her.

Feeling wronged, Felicity welled up with tears. "I thought she Lied to us, but it turned out to be true!"

“I've already frozen your credit card. You won't be able to use it until you apologize to Claudia!" Xavier said sharply and swiftly hung up the phone.

He tossed his phone aside, a deep frown forming on his face.

Pondering the recent events and his sister's foolishness, he couldn't shake the feeling that his family had already become a laughingstock.

Felicity's stupidity really pissed him off.

Claudia could feel Bennett's anger. It was the first time she had seen him in this state as he had always known how to repress his emotions around her. No matter how angry he got, he was always gentle around her.

However, due to Felicity's behavior, Bennett was visibly aloof when he bid farewell to the host of the party.

Claudia didn't say anything and just followed him silently.

The host looked as if he wanted to ask what had happened, but decided against it as Bennett had already turned around to leave.

If something really happened, it would be too troublesome to deal with it at that moment.

Even though Bennett still looked furious, he didn't let him solve the problem. It was obvious that the matter had already been resolved.

It was better for him to feign ignorance and forget about it.
