Chapter: 134
In her mind, Bennett was fortunate to have a patient wife Like herself.

Even though Bennett had invited Claudia to pick a room on her own, she felt it was discourteous to wander about his home without his company.

Once she finished her drink, Claudia headed to the kitchen island, refilling her cup with warm water while idly checking her phone.

Anthony and Delilah weren't big names in the entertainment industry. The news about them had already subsided by now.

Claudia's Twitter account experienced a sudden surge, amassing around a hundred thousand new followers in a single night. And they were genuine fans, not the ghost followers.

Within the span of two months, Claudia's Twitter following swelled from a modest 20, 000 to a whopping half a million. The expose about her dynamics with Delilah online led to a spike in her popularity.

If she considered endorsing a product, a hefty paycheck of thousands of dollars would be a breeze.

Yet, it was a fleeting thought for Claudia, with no real intention of following through.

Today, scrolling through Twitter seemed monotonous for Claudia. Multiple media platforms were in a frenzy to dish out the Latest celebrity gossip.

Being largely indifferent to the entertainment industry, Claudia Logged off after a bit.

Suddenly, a text from Aurora popped up on her screen.

"Cece babe, getting ready to move to your husband's place?"

The term "husband" made Claudia blush as she texted back, "Just got here."

“That soon? It's barely past ten. What time did he pick you up?" “Eight. Can you believe it?"

"Wow, he really couldn't wait to start Living with you, could he?!" Claudia wanted to steer clear of the topic. As she was about to send an emoji to wrap up the conversation, Bennett appeared from upstairs.

Spotting her on the couch, Bennett made his way to the fridge and grabbed a can of soda. "Decided on a room yet?"

Caught off guard, Claudia confessed, "No, not yet." Bennett popped the can, tilted his head back slightly and drank the soda.

The act of drinking accentuated his Adam's apple, which bobbed with each gulp.

Claudia's index finger twitched involuntarily. It had brushed against his Adam's apple a couple of days ago, and the memory of his warm skin lingered on her fingertip. ©

After draining his soda, Bennett shot her a knowing look and instructed, "Go pick one now."

Her cheeks flushing, Claudia diverted her gaze and muttered a quick, "Alright."

Given her injured right Leg hadn't fully recovered, she leaned on her left leg and slowly got up.
