Chapter: 1340
Lifting her gaze, Claudia met Bennett's eyes shimmering under the moon's gentle glow.
When Bennett saw her looking at him, he furrowed his brow before saying, "I'll hand you my spare phone later, alright?"
Realizing he had misunderstood her silence, Claudia opted against explaining further. Instead, she nestled her head against his chest and replied softly, “Alright.”
Bennett had three phones. One was designated for work, another for personal use, and a third was kept as a backup.
He frequently used the first two phones, leaving the third untouched.
After inserting her SIM card into the phone, Claudia found several messages from Aurora.
It was evident that Aurora was discussing the latest hot topic.
She instinctively stole a glance at Bennett and felt a wave of relief wash over her when she noticed his attention elsewhere.
Breathing out a sigh of relief, she felt a moment of calm until he asked, "Have you heard about what's trending?"
Claudia's hand quivered, and her phone teetered on the edge of falling to the floor once more as the she heard this.
Gazing upward, she met his eyes and whispered, "Yes."
"Do you want Jackson to handle it?"
"No, I don't think so." Claudia shook her head slowly and pursed her Lips.
Their saga wasn't a stranger to the spotlight, a recurring theme in the public eye.
Bennett grinned. "It's in your hands, Claudia"
Claudia's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She had just overheard him telling Jackson not to deal with the trending topic Lifting the cup, she Lowered her head, preparing to sip, only to catch Bennett staring at his phone, engrossed in the trend on Twitter.
Claudia choked on her water, thinking of his comment-reading “hobby,” and blurted, "Well..."
“\hat?" Bennett's gaze met hers, a smile playing in his eyes, waiting for her to continue.
Not knowing what to say, Claudia asked, “Did you unwrap the birthday gift?"
Bennett put down his phone and said, "Yes."
“I didn't draw well." A hint of shyness colored her words.
His laughter echoed the room the moment she finished speaking.
Suddenly descending from his stool, Bennett ambled towards her, reaching out to hold her waist and pulling her into his arms.
He carried her in a bridal style again.
