Chapter: 172
Claudia took a sip and looked at Mathews through the glass, nodding in agreement.

“He really does.”

They said that a man was most attractive when he was engrossed in his work. And it was true!

She found herself stealing another glance at him.

It was already more than 40 minutes later when Mathews finally emerged from the recording booth.

It was already ten to twelve-time for lunch.

Taking the water from his assistant, Mathews drank it and asked Claudia. "Would you Like to have Lunch with me?"

"No thank you. My driver is waiting for me outside.”

Mathews drank more water, his thirst evident to Claudia. He regarded her quietly with his light brown eyes before conceding, “Alright, no pressure."

He extended a small box towards her. "A token of my gratitude for you."

Inside the box, Claudia found a charming, finely-crafted rabbit keychain. Once assured it was a modest gift, she accepted it with a smile. "Thank you. I'LL take you out for dinner next time."

“When might that be?" he asked.

Taken aback, Claudia stammered, "When are you available?"

“I'm free today.”

Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Claudia was at a loss for words. Seeing her discomfort, Mathews eased her tension.

“Just kidding." Claudia sighed, mentally agreeing with Miguel's assessment of Mathews‘ playful nature offstage.

“I better Leave now.”

"I'LL accompany you downstairs.”

Effortlessly, he crumpled the empty water bottle, lobbing it backward inte a distant trash can.

Masking up, Mathews positioned himself behind her wheelchair. "I'LL put on a hat too. I'll be unrecognizable."

Claudia found herself unable to resist his earnest offer.

The sight of Mathews guiding a wheelchair-bound beauty through Sky Entertainment offices caused a stir among the employees. Their surprise led to whispered speculations.

As Claudia reached her car, before she could utter a word, Mathews waved goodbye, turning back towards the company.

“Drive safe. Let me know when you're home."
