Chapter: 174
Unaware of the prying eyes, the pair shared a passionate kiss immediately after stepping into the room. Shortly after, the door shut. From then on, the spectators were left to conjure up what transpired behind closed doors.
Delilah, who was convinced of her favorable public image the previous night, was met with an unpleasant surprise. Just as the world assumed she would cease her dramatic antics, a scandal of this magnitude erupted.
“Doesn't Delilah have a shred of dignity? She's made a complete spectacle of herself!"
“Poor Claudia, having to deal with such a brazen pair! I wonder how long the two of them have had an affair behind Claudia's back!"
"Delilah apologized for her impulsiveness just last night, only to be caught in bed with Anthony hours later. I am truly speechless.”
“Damn it! Delilah seems to be a writer, doesn't she? Her work must be trash."
“Beware. Delilah's followers are more intense that of movie stars!"
Claudia had only skimmed a few comments when her car halted. Carson, seated upfront, informed her, "Miss Marshall, we've arrived."
"Alright!"
Claudia exited the vehicle, and once at home, resumed her perusal of the comments.
Maybe her feelings for Anthony were really non-existent now. Seeing the current news about him, all she could do was shake her head in disappointment.
However, she experienced a strange satisfaction at Delilah being lambasted by the public.
After having lunch, Claudia enjoyed a leisurely chat with Aurora for nearly half an hour.
“Honey, we can catch up Later. I was up late reading a book Last night. I need to catch some sleep!"
“Surel™
No sooner had she responded than Aurora bombarded her with messages.
“Did Delilah pay for this marketing account to slander you? Why drag you into something that has nothing to do with you?"
She followed it up with a couple of screenshot attachments.
Upon reviewing them, Claudia finally understood the situation.
It seemed someone had created a post about her.
While they appeared sympathetic towards Claudia on the surface, the underlying sentiment left Claudia feeling ill at ease.
“What a hypocrite! They're berating you for hounding Anthony and Delilah!"
Aurora quickly grasped the insinuation in the post.
Claudia, catching on to the implications, was immediately seething with indignation.
