Chapter: 23
It was from her friend Aurora, who Claudia guessed must've sent more screenshots of Delilah being trashed online.

Claudia, smiling, unlocked her phone only to realize it wasn't about Delilah, but Aurora's own Facebook page.

More specifically, it was a screenshot of Claudia's post of marriage certificate and that stranger's comment of a simple sentence—"I know."

“OMG! The instant you put your certificate up on Facebook, Bennett posted something too! Your husband is extraordinary!"

Caught off guard by Aurora referring to Bennett as “your husband", Claudia coughed in surprise several times before regaining her composure.

On examining the screenshot, she was startled to realize that person she failed to recognize earlier turned out to be Bennett!

When did he even become her Facebook friend?

“I saw a comment from a mutual friend stating Bennett hasn't updated his Facebook for three years. He makes a rare post today, and it's a response to yours! OMG! You two are just flaunting your romance!

Was the announcement on Segarine Group's Twitter from him as well? Does Bennett have a crush on you a long time ago?"

Seeing that Aurora was getting overly excited, Claudia replied, “Honestly, I'm as surprised as you are."

Taking a deep breath, she continued, "I had no clue that Bennett was even on my Facebook friend list until I saw your screenshot.”

Aurora's excitement was only growing. “The more I hear, the more hyped I get. I bet Bennett's been harboring secret feelings for you!"

Claudia shook her head, typing back, "You're letting your imagination run wild, sis."

Pondering for a bit, Claudia decided to send a message to Bennett. "Mr. Dreskin, I've read the announcement. Thanks for the support."

Bennett, likely occupied with work, didn't respond to her message immediately. Setting her phone aside, Claudia lifted the piano lid and began to play aimlessly. Her tranquility was interrupted by the family maid, who came in to inform her of Anthony's arrival outside the villa.

Without even looking up from her piano, Claudia responded, "Tell him I'm not available to meet him

Jace had instructed the household staff, prior to Claudia's return from the hospital, that the Nixons were not to be admitted without Claudia's express consent.

As a result, Anthony, once a regular in the Marshall residence, found himself halted at the villa gate.

The day was off to a gloomy start, clouds dominating the morning sky before giving way to rain.

Anthony's features mirrored the dismal weather as he was turned down at the entrance of the Marshall residence.

The rainfall, initially Light, began to intensify.

After a few lingering glances at the villa, Anthony finally retreated back to his car.
