Chapter: 234
She wasn't owning up to this! Never!

Bennett smirked. "Yes, a drunken cat."

At this, Claudia's cheeks turned a deep shade of red!

“Did I do that?"

“Nope, just a cat scratch."

Claudia was left speechless.

Overwhelmed with embarrassment, she felt an intense urge to bury her face in her plate.

Consumed by a wave of embarrassment, Claudia came to the realization that she had crossed boundaries with Bennett during her intoxicated state.

Anticipating Bennett's potential retaliation, she swiftly steered their conversation in a different direction.

“Will you be returning to the office later?"

“Yes.”

He responded in a nonchalant manner, making it difficult to gauge whether he was in a positive or negative mood.

With a gnawing sense of unease, Claudia munched on her sandwich but found no pleasure in it.

As Bennett neared the end of his meal, he washed it down with his coffee, asking, “Any plans for today?"

“None.”

Her leg was still on the mend, so her agenda was empty.

“I'UL be back for Lunch.”

Puzzled, Claudia tried to decipher his words. Could it be that Bennett expected her to prepare Lunch?

Tentatively, she asked, “Should I cook Lunch for you to return to?" Her cheeks bloomed crimson at her own question, for it sounded so domestic, like a real-life couple.

They were legally married, yes, but their union was a mere facade. Bennett pondered for a moment before asking, “Are you practicing piano today?"

“Yes.”

The mention of piano reminded Claudia of her upcoming performance on the 20th. After some hesitation, she decided to give Bennett a heads up. "I've got a show on the 20th, by the way.”

“Where?”

“Pegasus Avenue," she replied without a second thought.
