Chapter: 276
"Yes."
“Awesome! How exactly did you comfort him?"
“I well.”
I prepared noodles for him... And, I gave him a piece of candy as
“What??? Is that all? Did you do other things?" At first, Claudia didn't dwell on it much. It was only when Aurora posed the question that she understood its significance.
It required a whole five minutes for Claudia to assure Aurora that all she did was prepare noodles for Bennett and treat him to a piece of candy.
As the night deepened, she bid Aurora good night and retreated to her bathroom with her pajamas in hand.
Maybe due to Aurora's input, Claudia experienced a wet dream that night.
Upon waking up, her first instinct was to check her underwear.
This was all Aurora's doing!
Because of that excessive dream, Claudia was very guilty. She didn't dare to go downstairs for breakfast until the sound of the engine of Bennett's car came from downstairs.
Marcia, who had just come to clean up the plate, saw that Claudia came downstairs and quickly said, "Good morning, Mrs. Dreskin. I'll prepare breakfast for you."
Marcia went into the kitchen with the plate and tableware that Bennett had used. Soon, she came out with Claudia's breakfast.
Claudia's ears still held a blush from the dream, causing a surge of shame at the mere thought of it.
Even though she was a grown woman and having an erotic dream in her own bed wasn't a crime, why was it Bennett she was intimate with in her dream?
The more she mulled it over, the hotter her face felt.
Seeing this, Marcia worried she might be unwell. "Mrs. Dreskin, your face looks quite flushed. Are you feeling alright?"
Her embarrassment amplifying, Claudia brushed a hand against her warm cheek and gave a slightly guilty response. "Nothing. I just woke up and it feels a Little warm."
“Indeed, it's quite hot today."
Marcia bought her excuse without a second thought, choosing not to inquire any further.
In the next few days, Claudia made a point of avoiding Bennett on as many occasions as she could.
The sight of Claudia departing promptly after dinner cast a gloom over Bennett's face. He watched her retreating back for a while before heading upstairs.
Claudia found herself at the piano. Tomorrow being Saturday, she intended to go over the piano piece for tomorrow's charity event.
Sure, she had practiced this song two dozen times over and could perform it effortlessly, even with her eyes shut.
