Chapter: 334
The employees that flocked around Claudia moments ago had beat a hasty retreat when Bennett showed up.
Claudia and Bennett were left alone in the dressing room. She replied while still staring at their reflections, "Yes."
Afterward, she sidled up to him. It had been nearly three months since she last wore heels. Today, she had on a pair of two-inched stilettos. She almost lost her balance after just a few steps.
She had gotten a silk press, so her hair wasn't tied up or styled. Her luscious strands fell over her shoulders, chest, and back. Her hair swayed slightly with her every move.
With her hair sliding across the back of his hand, Bennett lowered his eyebrows and curved his arm to her
Claudia smiled shyly before locking arms with him. They left the parlor arm in arm.
She thought they were headed to the party venue. However, Bennett said they were going to have dinner first.
She had snacked on tea and cakes all afternoon, so she wasn't very hungry now.
More so, beauty was pain. She couldn't afford to stuff herself up with food if she must stay fit in this dress.
Claudia kept looking around Like a meerkat throughout the dinner. She feared that a robber would just show up and snatch the diamond necklace from her neck. When she saw that Bennett set down his pair of cutlery, she asked anxiously, "You are full, right?"
“Yeah, I am. What about you? Aren't you gonna eat something?"
He noticed that she had barely touched her food.
Claudia shook her head and said, "Nah, I am good. I had too many cakes earlier."
She pursed her Lips and asked him with a red face, "I need to use the bathroom. Please, can you go with me?”
Bennett raised his eyebrows to that. A second Later, he shrugged and agreed, "Okay."
Claudia blushed, feeling ashamed. She wasn't like some baby who needed to be accompanied to the bathroom.
In fact, she was just scared that someone would rob her of the necklace in there. She regretted drinking too much watermelon juice just now.
How embarrassing!
Children below the age of six were the only ones that needed to be chaperoned to the bathroom.
Shame was still eating Claudia up as she sat in the car several moments later.
The city was alive even though it was already nighttime. The bright streetlights Lit up the roads and reflected into the car. The beam fell on Bennett's side profile, adding to his handsomeness.
After staring at him for a long time, Claudia sighed, “It's such a pity you decided to do business instead of acting with that handsome face of yours."
Her sigh broke the silence in the car.
It just so happened that the car came to a red light. Even the driver, who always minded his business, couldn't help looking at Claudia through the rearview mirror upon hearing her.
