Chapter: 340
Claudia bit the tip of her tongue in regret. Never had she replied to anyone so savagely. She just couldn't hold back because the person involved was so annoying.
Although Claudia felt embarrassed, she kept her expression schooled. She turned to Bennett and patted his chest.
“Honey, give me a minute.“
Bennett frowned and said reluctantly, “Okay, don't take too long though."
His arm remained wrapped around her waist.
Under the gazes of this many people, Claudia had to bite the bullet and look down at her held waist.
“Honey, you have to let go of me first." Bennett loosened his grip with much reluctance.
After one final smile at him, Claudia turned and said to Zaria, "Where would you like me to Listen to your nonsense?”
Zaria pointed to the left and said, "There is a garden over there Let's go there."
“Lead the way, will you?" Claudia said with a backhanded wave.
“Oh, my God! Why is Claudia being so arrogant?"
“Honestly, Claudia is below Zaria. Why is she acting Like a rude queen? I can't with her!"
"You guys have no taste. Claudia is a badass bitch to me!"
“Something tells me that Zaria isn't going to let this slide. Oh, my! Will there be a dramatic scene later?"
"Although it's old-fashioned for two women to fight over a man, the thought of watching such a scene is exciting. I can't wait!"
“Let's go! Let's watch the show!”
As Claudia and Zaria walked away from the crowd, the whispers became more and more unscrupulous
These people seemed extra hungry for drama.
Breck sidled up to Bennett. He elbowed him and said, “What are you doing standing here, dude? Aren't you gonna go after your wife?"
Bennett cast a cold glance at him, and Breck Looked away. Ugh! He couldn't even tease his friend without getting a murderous glare
Claudia followed Zaria to the garden. The members of the Moreno family really outdid themselves for this party. This place was decorated to the tee. Even the garden wasn't left out.
The year was yet to end, but anyone with eyes knew that no party would outclass this one. Since the guests were so fixated on making important connections tonight, none of them came to this remote garden even though it was well-decorated.
The garden was as silent as a graveyard.
The lighting here was rather poor compared to the rest of the venue. Claudia set down her glass on a table and followed Zaria's lead to sit on a chair.
