Chapter: 353
"Yes, the necklace is indeed stunning, and it perfectly aligns with the grandeur of tonight's event. But still..." Claudia said, a flush of embarrassment creeping over her face.

She halted for a moment before continuing, "This necklace is just excessively costly."

Bennett, however, seemed to brush her worries aside.

“The worth of a jewel is determined by people. Regardless of its cost, it's merely an accessory for someone to wear. It suits you remarkably well. Even if you don't wear it, it will serve its purpose.”

“Bennett, this necklace is too lavish. I..." Claudia stammered, but he cut her off, casually releasing his hold on the necklace.

“If you don't want it, just discard it. The monetary worth means little to me."

Claudia was left dumbstruck.

Bennett's nonchalant attitude towards money and material goods made Claudia acutely aware of the vast gulf between their worlds.

A necklace valued over fifty million dollars was trivial to Bennett. Looking at the man's retreating figure, and then glancing at the necklace in her hand, Claudia felt like she was nothing more than a gold-digger.

After Bennett retreated to his room, Claudia sighed and closed the door.

She felt a burden in the shape of the expensive necklace. She found a jewelry box in one of her drawers to store the necklace.

Picking up her phone, Claudia texted Aurora. "Bennett just offered the Unparalleled necklace to me as a gift."

Aurora responded with three exclamation marks. " he only permitted you to wear it for the party?”

Didn't you mention that

Even at this moment, Claudia remained perplexed, saying, “But he came here with the necklace just now and told me he would give it to me..."

Aurora said, “I have a strong suspicion that you're bragging about your love life to me!!!"

Claudia replied, "No, listen. I'm not lying. I truly didn't anticipate Bennett giving me the necklace! It's worth over fifty million dollars. I'm apprehensive about accepting such a lavish gift. What should I do?”

Aurora, always pragmatic during crucial moments, suggested, “The necklace is indeed extravagant. But since he insists on gifting it to you, you should accept it, at Least for now."

“That seems to be the only option I have," Claudia agreed.

After the surprise from Bennett, Claudia Lost her inclination to browse the Internet. After chatting with Aurora for a bit longer, she decided to retire for the night.

Having skipped her afternoon nap, coupled with the busy afternoon and the rescue mission at the pool, Claudia had spent a lot of her energy. She fell asleep quickly.

However, Claudia struggled to sleep well that night. Not long after drifting off, she found herself waking up and heading to the bathroom. Later in the night, she woke up again, feeling thirsty. Her drowsy eyes remained blurred as she made her way downstairs to fetch a glass of water.

Thankfully, there were sensor lights illuminating the stairs. In a dazed state, she gripped the handrail and made her way to the kitchen on the first floor. After pouring herself a glass of water, she drank most of it.

Having finished her water, she turned around and headed back to her room. Her sleepiness was overwhelming, making it difficult for her to keep her eyes open. When she caught sight of the Light shining from the doorway, she walked towards it without any hesitation.
