How could a man have a smile so charmingly dangerous?

It was drawing her into a forbidden place; one that was obviously dangerous, but too tempting to keep from.

As Claudia's tongue went dry, Bennett raised his eyebrows and asked, “Penny for your thoughts? How about you let me in on whatever you thinking instead of just gawking at me?"

Still utterly beguiled, Claudia blurted out, "I'm no longer thinking about money and I don't want to talk about it anymore."

“Then what do you want to talk about?”

“Love! To be exact, I want to be in Love with you!"

That's it, Claudia! You really need to chop off your lips!

She thought.

It was Bennett's turn to be flustered. He blinked and then narrowed his eyes slightly. Afterward, he stared her in the eye again. "What did you just say?"

Claudia's face turned red. At this moment, she wished the ground would just open up and swallow her whole. This was so embarrassing

After slapping her mouth twice, she pulled on a teasing smile and said, “Oops! I was only kidding. Things were getting a little too serious, so I just cracked a joke. Ha-ha-ha! It's funny, right?"

Bennett continued to stare without breaking a smile. This quadrupled her embarrassment .

She didn't know how to wriggle out of this mess now.

Fortunately, the sudden ringing of his phone came to her rescue.

"Oh, that reminds me. I have something important to do!" she uttered, snapping her gingers and running upstairs before he could say another word.

Claudia's face was burning hot when she got into her bedroom. She threw herself on the bed and buried her head in a pillow.

The urge to sew her Lips together or cut them off was stronger than ever now. She had no control of her mind and mouth these days!

As she rolled over on the bed, she remembered the check Zaria had written her.

Claudia picked up the check which was beside the pillow. There were so many zeroes that she didn't even count them accurately the first time. Thirty million dollars!

Claudia pinched herself to make sure this wasn't a dream. How in the world did she end up three million dollars richer within minutes?

She couldn't wrap her head around this. Was Zaria up to something?

She held up the check and took a picture of it. Then, she sent it to Aurora.

“I really don't know what's going on in Zaria‘s head. Can you believe that she wrote me a check for thirty million dollars as a token of her appreciation?”

As if she had been waiting for that message, Aurora replied within seconds, “What? This is strange! Have you ever thought about the possibility that Zaria has eyes for you, not Bennett?”
