The manly scent filled her nostrils. Her fall had Left her splayed on top of Bennett, with just one hand to the side, barely maintaining any separation.

“Mrs. Dreskin, don't you think it's time to get up?"

His deep voice resonated from above, a wave of embarrassment washing over Claudia.

In her haste to rise, she only seemed to fumble more.

She attempted to use Bennett as support, but catching his dark gaze caused guilt to seep in. Her distraction resulted in her hand slipping down, inadvertently brushing against Bennett's abdomen.

Claudia heard Bennett's sharp intake of breath. "Mrs. Dreskin, there are areas of a man that are rather sensitive to pressure."

In a swift motion, he clasped her wrist, gently taming her restless hand.

Looking up at his dark eyes, Claudia was on the brink of tears. "I'm absolutely not trying to seduce you!"

Would he even Listen to her explanation?

“Is that so? Then, please, I would love to see how you would attempt to seduce me, if you chose to do so."

Claudia was left utterly speechless.

Claudia's daydreaming had become a noticeable habit, this being the third instance.

Aurora, sitting right beside Claudia, put an arm around her. "Cece, what's so fascinating that you've ignored me, even after I've called you three times?”

Jolted back to reality by Aurora, Claudia met her gaze with a hint of guilt. "I was lost in thought."

“What were you pondering over that has you so captivated?" Aurora inquired, her eyebrows arching.

What was she lost in?

The incident from the previous night of course!

Nobody had any idea about the reckless person she had been last night.

After Bennett said he'd like to see how she'd seduce him, she paused and suddenly reached for his abs.

The situation had been uncomfortably awkward then. Even now, as she recalled it, Claudia was so mortified she felt like hiding in shame. How could she dare share this with Aurora?

"I was reflecting on work-related stuff."

“Really?”

Aurora's half-smile showed her skepticism.
