Chapter: 406
She realized she might have overreacted. Oh well, Lust could be overwhelming.
Saturday's traffic was a snarl in the city center. The car lurched forward, and then halted. Claudia's patience lasted all of ten minutes before she dozed off.
Meanwhile, Bennett, just home from the office, found a video message from Breck awaiting him.
He raised his eyebrows but wasn't interested in clicking it at all. However, he clicked the video by accident when he was putting his phone away to get changed.
The video showed Claudia furiously splashing a woman's face with tea. After the splash, she icily warned the woman, “You're welcome! If you're still not thinking clearly, walk outside, turn right, cross the road, and jump into the river to wake yourself up! Try and speak badly of Bennett again, and next time it won't be tea, but sulfuric acid. Mark my words.”
Then Claudia threw the paper cup on the woman's face before she left. Bennett had barely finished the video when a message from Breck popped up.
“Your wife's so awesome!"
“Thanks for the news."
“Seriously, can you even handle her?!"
"Don't you worry. That reminds me, I will buy a few more boxes of contraceptives."
Breck was shocked.
“What???
Does your wife know you are like this?"
It's none of your business. Bennett thought.
He had no intention of responding to Breck.
Time for a swim!
Claudia enjoyed his abs, after all!
Claudia had no idea that Bennett had witnessed her ‘heroic’ act back at the boutique. She dozed off in the cab, and when it pulled up at the villa's gate, it took the driver two tries to wake her. She fumbled for her money and told the driver, "Thanks, and keep the change!"
After paying the fare, Claudia yawned, rubbing her eyes, and began to search for her key in her bag.
But even after practically emptying her bag, the key was nowhere to be found.
Forget it.
Marcia was probably in the kitchen cooking.
She reached up and pressed the doorbell. Unexpectedly, the door was opened not by the housekeeper but Bennett, fresh from swimming and wrapped in just a bath towel.
Claudia originally was still a little drowsy, but now she was completely awake!
