“No need. Aren't you hungry?”

As soon as he spoke, Claudia's stomach growled audibly.

The sound wasn't loud, yet Bennett caught it clear as day.

A faint smile curved his lips.

“There's food over there. Go grab something."

"Alright."

This is so embarrassing! She thought.

Bennett escorted Claudia to the buffet section, drawing countless glances along the way.

Some looked on with envy, others in surprise, a few in confusion, some with jealousy, and a handful with disdain.

Standing tall, Claudia gripped Bennett's hand and strode past without giving them a second glance.

Who cared if she wasn't the real Mrs. Dreskin? No one was the wiser! Bennett noticed her subtle actions and responded with a tighter handhold.

Oh, what a naive bunny!

Zaria's birthday party offered an array of dishes. Claudia wondered if she'd leave with an empty stomach. But Bennett ensured she ate plenty. This made her anxious — would people think she was pregnant for eating that much?

“Are you full yet?”

The man managed to Locate some sushi from somewhere, and it appeared to be quite tasty.

She couldn't possibly eat another bite, though. Looking away from the sushi, Claudia admitted, "I've had enough."

Meeting his eyes, she added, “Really, I'm stuffed. One more bite and I'd need digestive tablets."

Recalling a past incident, Bennett decided not to press her. He nonchalantly tasted the sushi himself.

When their plates were clean, Zaria approached, exclaiming, "Baby, I'm here for you!"

Bennett halted Zaria‘s approach and drew Claudia closer.

Zaria came to a halt, clearly displeased. Sporting a pout, he said, “Mr. Dreskin, Mr. Santos mentioned that he wanted to discuss something with you."

“Alright," Bennett responded casually, but he remained stationary. Zaria tried again to make Bennett leave, but this time Bennett didn't even utter one word.

Growing impatient, Zaria remarked, “Bennett, you've hovered over her ‘long enough. Doesn‘t she deserve some alone time?"

Turning to Claudia, Bennett inquired, “Do you want some time alone?"
