Chapter: 472
Bennett's flight was scheduled for nine o'clock, meaning he had to leave at seven.
The alarm was set for six, a time much earlier than Claudia's usual rising hour of eight. This early start caused her to yawn repeatedly after freshening up.
Contrastingly, Bennett appeared invigorated. Claudia was unaware of when he had slept the previous night.
“Why are you up at this hour?"
“I must see you off."
Claudia yawned again.
Since they had risen so early, Marcia hadn't prepared breakfast. It was instead delivered by someone arranged by Jackson.
Bennett hadn't anticipated Claudia’s early rising, and since only one breakfast was available, he placed the food before her.
Claudia dismissed it with a wave, declaring, "I won't eat. I'll return to sleep soon.”
She then looked at Bennett, her eyes still foggy with sleep. "Mr. Dreskin, shall we spend the next weekend together?"
She had just awakened and her words escaped without thought.
Bennett regarded her, arching an eyebrow.
“You want to spend the weekend with me?"
“If it's possible!"
She yawned once more.
Bennett quickly finished his breakfast. Observing her fatigue, he suggested she return to bed.
Claudia refused, stating, "No, you'll be away on business for a week. I must see you off. Jackson would not see me as a good wife of yours if I failed to do so!"
As she spoke, the doorbell rang.
Claudia snapped to alertness. "The car's here!"
Outside, Jackson and the driver were waiting.
Bennett spared her a glance, dragged his suitcase to the door, and changed his shoes.
Claudia trailed behind to the villa's entrance. Before climbing into the car, Bennett Looked back, instructing, "Alright, head back now."
Jackson grabbed the Luggage, stowing it in the trunk.
Claudia eyed the driver, and then Jackson. After a brief hesitation. she extended her arms to embrace Bennett.
