“At eight o'clock."
“And when will you take the stage?"
His inquiry caught Claudia off guard. She blushed and replied, “During the opening and the first half of the concert."
The concert's duration was two hours, yet her performance would only consume a fraction of that time — less than ten minutes.
Three million dollars for ten minutes of playing the piano? As she had stated, this job paid well!
"Alright." Bennett accepted the ticket from her hand.
Successive cars pulled up at the doorstep to pick them up. Inside one of the vehicles, Joann gazed admiringly at Claudia and Bennett, perceiving them as a couple deeply in Love.
Once Claudia boarded the car, Joann's smile-focused gaze unsettled her.
“Why are you staring at me like that? It's a bit creepy.”
“Are you and your husband so averse to parting every morning?”
Claudia was momentarily silenced.

Joann’s comment caused Claudia's ears to flush crimson.
She cleared her throat and diverted the conversation.
“Let‘s get a move on. We have to rehearse twice today!"
Today would yield her three million dollars! She had to exert herself. Meeting Claudia's eyes significantly, Joann said, "I comprehend. Fully."
Then, she signaled the driver, stating, “Let's proceed!"
Claudia refrained from responding. What did Joann truly understand?
Observing Claudia and Bennett's Maybach departing ahead, Joann couldn't help but sigh, "You and Bennett make quite the affectionate couple
Claudia found herself at a loss for words. What Joann remained unaware of was their status as an invented couple! Naturally, Claudia didn't disclose the truth to her.
The car pulled up at the concert venue promptly. As expected, Mathews’ concert was an elaborate affair.
Despite participating in numerous performances and competitions, Claudia had never witnessed such a splendid spectacle before.
It was no wonder that many aspired to enter the entertainment industry. Earning money seemed so straight forward!
While Claudia was lost in contemplation, Mathews’ agent approached and conveyed, "Claudia, we're grateful for your presence today!"
