Chapter: 506
“It's alright. You are talented. Your appearance shouldn't be a concern.”
Blushing, Claudia admitted, “Honestly, I‘m not well off."
“Hey, don't speak about yourself that way. We should always spend every hard-earned penny wisely, right?"
"You're right, Joann."
The two engaged in conversation for a while. Miguel then brought some food for Claudia. The concert wasn't scheduled to begin until eight o'clock and the current time was six.
Claudia had been at the venue the whole day and had only managed a few bites of lunch.
Feeling sorry for her, Mathews had procured some food and had Miguel deliver it to her. "That's so kind of you!"
Upon opening the bag of various kinds of food, Joann even discovered milk tea.
Miguel grinned.
“Please have a bite first. The concert won't start for another hour and a half!"
“Sure, thank you!”
Without much ado, Claudia and Joann began their dinner.
Not long after the meal, the stage lights illuminated. Fans had already filled the auditorium.
Claudia received VIP tickets from Mathews, which granted the seats closest to the stage.
If Bennett showed up, he'd have a clear view of Claudia.
This notion sparked excitement and anticipation within Claudia.
“Are you feeling anxious?" inquired Mathews from beside Claudia, snapping her back to reality. She turned her head to meet his gaze and responded by shaking her head, "I'm perfectly alright."
Her composure remained unshaken. Even amid this grandeur that surpassed her prior experiences, she remained unaffected. Not even the international competition had rattled her. She was here just for work today. How could nerves find a place within her?
With his eyebrows raised, Mathews acknowledged, “True. You've encountered such occasions before."
Directly following Mathews' utterance, the dim stage was suddenly illuminated with a blue radiance.
Then, a myriad of lights illuminated, projecting a vast starlit sky behind the drapes.
Claudia felt a tinge of embarrassment.
Never had she born witness to such a grand sight!
Once the lights illuminated, both she and Mathews were required on stage.
