Chapter: 516
Claudia's heart sank. Clicking on the picture, a sharp line of text jabbed at her: Mr. Dreskin was seen with a mysterious beautiful woman at midnight.
The picture below depicted Bennett and a young woman, her face obscured by a mask, exiting a car and entering a hotel late at night. The timestamp on the photo read zero fifty from the night before.
Bennett had sent his message to Claudia at eleven ten last night. Could Bennett really have been with this Kayla last night?
Claudia's emotions were in turmoil. For a fleeting moment, she felt fortunate that she hadn't acted on impulse and confessed her feelings that night.
She struggled to formulate a response to Aurora's probing text. Eventually, she settled on sending a meme that read, "I don't know."
She then checked the message from Zaria. "Cece, are you awake? Did he cheat on you? Just say the word, and I'll beat him up for you!”
Embarrassed, Claudia could only respond with a “No.” Even if he had been unfaithful, she, posing as Mrs. Dreskin, had no standing in front of his real love.
After all, their marriage was a sham.
Yet, why did she feel such a pang of sadness?
After the concert, Claudia got even more attention than Mathews.
Last night, at Mathews' concert, his fans took high-resolution photos of Claudia and posted them online. The photos instantly went viral, and many netizens got curious about the identity of the woman in them.
"I'm sorry, but I really, really need to know. Who is this beautiful girl? Is she a Layman
"Oh, my God! Mathews invited such a pretty lady! Please tell me her Twitter handle! Somebody, please!"
“I'm really a fan of Mathews, but Miss Marshall is just so magnificent! No one wants Miss Marshall to make a debut in the entertainment industry? Well, I'm willing to pay to see her even if she just sits there! She's so gorgeous!"
Early in the morning, because of the photo that Bennett sent Kayla back to the hotel, Claudia was hotly discussed again.
After replying to some messages, Claudia surfed the Internet for a while. She found out that some people were praising her for her beauty and some were feeling sorry for her.
As one of the involved parties, Claudia thought the comments she was reading were ridiculous. One person even claimed that she had been cheated on.
She didn't want to read the news online anymore. After breakfast, she planned to go practice playing the piano, but sitting in front of the piano, she realized that she wasn't in the mood at all. ALL she could think about were the comments she had read just now.
“Doesn't such a beautiful girl deserve a good lover?"
“What's wrong with Mr. Dreskin? Why is he still seeing another woman when he already has a perfect, hardworking wife like Claudia?"
“There is no Love in the marriage of the rich. Claudia, just divorce your husband and enjoy your life on your own. Focus on your career. Don't care about men."
She didn't want to think too much, but these comments just kept crossing her mind.
What could she do? She was getting desperate!
Claudia sighed, picked up her phone, and sent a message to Bennett. She wanted to ask him when he'd be back home.
