Chapter: 558
But another question Lingered, "What should I make for him?"

"You simply need to create a gift within your abilities," Marcia assured her.

Claudia's face fell into a sheepish expression.

“I can barely cook. Will that suffice?"

“Absolutely. If you Like, you can prepare some soup and send it to his company. He'll be overjoyed!”

Marcia's eyes twinkled as she added, "Besides, this gesture will flaunt your grace in his company, deterring those with overconfidence or hidden agendas.”

Though Marcia's words were somewhat blunt, Claudia knew she was right! Yet, her skills in soup-making were Lacking.

“Marcia, would you teach me how to cook soup?"

“With pleasure," Marcia responded, her smile widening.

Claudia's eyes softened, gratitude evident in her voice.

“Don't worry, Marcia. I'll ask Bennett to give you a raise next month!"

Marcia blushed slightly, managing a "Thank you!"

Claudia was determined. She would Learn to prepare soup with Marcia's guidance the following morning, and then create some dishes. She would send the heartfelt meal to Bennett by noon.

Though she would never confess to being influenced by Marcia's second point, her intentions were pure.

Yet, she couldn't shake the nagging feeling that someone was trying to steal her husband.

Following a brief rest, Claudia refreshed herself by washing her face before heading to the piano room for a practice session.

Yesterday, she had been furious with Bennett the entire day over an unfounded matter. Not only that, she hadn't touched the piano at all! Reflecting on it now, she felt an overwhelming sense of guilt. Engrossed in her piano practice, Claudia remained oblivious to an unexpected presence in the room.

Only when she had completed her intended practice time did she shut the piano, planning to take a break downstairs.

To her surprise, upon turning around, she noticed that Bennett was asleep on the sofa behind her!

When had he arrived?

How hadn't she noticed?

Wasn't he supposed to be out for dinner tonight?

A rapid review of her recent actions revealed no embarrassing moments. Luckily, her focus had solely been on playing the piano.

Breathing a sigh of relief, she approached Bennett cautiously.
