Chapter: 601
With only one glance, Kristy turned around and ran away as fast as she could.
Claudia was confused. She didn't understand why Kristy just acted the way she did.
Damn it! Last time we ran into each other, I wanted to ignore her, but she came to me after all and I was forced to greet her. She thought to herself.
Why did Kristy run away after seeing them now?
Well, it seemed that the rumors about her that started this morning were true.
“What are you Looking at?”
Hearing Bennett's question, Claudia took her eyes off Kristy and replied, "I think I saw Miss Murray just now."
“Miss Murray who?"
He took her hand and towed her forward.
Blushing, Claudia answered, "Kristy Murray. Anthony's fiancee."
As soon as she blurted out her answer, Bennett whipped his head at her and peered at her intently. Then, he said, "It seems that you still care about Mr. Nixon a lot, Mrs. Dreskin.”
“No, I don't. What is he talking about?" she muttered to herself in shock.
"Didn't I just attend their engagement party Last night? Well, and then I've heard the rumors about them this morning." Claudia then trailed off.
Thinking of what happened this morning, Claudia found herself hot in the face again.
Why was she bringing this up all over again? They walked to the car. After Bennett opened the door for her, Claudia averted her gaze and murmured, "Thank you."
Bennett glanced at her and closed the door. Then, he went around the car and hopped into the driver's seat.
After Claudia fastened her seat belt and relaxed on her seat, she instantly felt sleepy. Riding all afternoon tuckered her out.
However, she couldn't just sleep in the car while Bennett drove. That would be embarrassing, so she took out her phone and started texting with Aurora. "Hey, Aurora," her first message read.
Seeing Claudia's message, Aurora knitted her brows. Then, she replied, “Hey. What's up? Aren't you supposed to be riding with your husband?"
What Aurora said was true, but for some reason, Claudia felt strange after reading her message.
Even though she couldn't explain why she felt weird, Claudia had to reply, “Yes, we did go to the race course today and ride. Afterward, we went to dinner. We're on our way home now. I'm just texting you because I don't want to fall asleep.”
Aurora wrote, “Okay. Why not talk to your husband then? Why text me?" Claudia texted back, “Because he's driving."
Aurora said, "Very well. Fine. How did the horseback riding go? Was it fun? I'll go to the race course and try it one day.”
Remembering how Bennett rode behind her earlier and practically hugged her from behind the entire time, Claudia felt her ears grow hot. She replied to Aurora's message with a smile, "So much fun. I think you will enjoy it, too." Aurora asked, “How long did it take you to get the hang of it? Was your riding coach strict?"
