Chapter: 619
"Shall we venture out for dinner or enjoy a home-cooked meal?"

“Let's enjoy a meal at home.”

Claudia stole a glance at him, her words tinged with a hint of awkwardness. "I'LL go make some noodles."

“Allow me," he offered unexpectedly.

His words took Claudia by surprise, and she inquired with a touch of astonishment, "Do you know how to cook?"

Bennett scooped her up in his arms and replied, “You’LL find out soon enough when you witness my culinary prowess."

With her arms encircling his neck, Claudia's gaze fixed on his Adam's apple and she couldn't resist extending her hand to touch it.

In fact, her audacity exceeded Bennett's expectations.

Having recently clarified their feelings, she was now taking decisive action.

Claudia's fingers explored and, as she sensed no resistance, she grew bolder, her touch tracing his neck.

Bennett endured her ministrations all the way to the kitchen, eventually setting her down on the table and seizing her hand. "If you want to touch me so much, why don't you find another spot to explore?" Claudia swiftly comprehended his meaning, retracting her hand and feigning, "I... I'm famished!"

She placed her hand on her stomach with a feigned gesture.

Bennett regarded her and suggested, “How about some noodles with eggs?" Seated at the table, Claudia nodded eagerly, resembling a chick pecking at grains.

“Sounds perfect."

How could she decline when her husband was the one preparing the meal? Realizing the implications of her thoughts, Claudia felt her cheeks flush once more.

“Well, Claudia, you're quite audacious," she whispered to herself. Bennett had not deceived her; he truly knew how to prepare noodles. Observing his deft knife skills, Claudia speculated that he might possess culinary talents extending beyond noodles.

Considering this, she inquired, “Are you skilled in cooking other dishes as well?"

“What's your guess?" Bennett asked, stowing away the chopping board and bestowing her with a smile.

"I believe you must excel at it!" Claudia affirmed.

As she met his gaze, Bennett swallowed hard and remarked, “Baby, please don't tempt me tonight.”

Blushing, she averted her eyes shyly and clarified, "I wasn't trying to tempt you."

Bennett offered no explanation and instead focused on meticulously preparing the noodles.

Before long, a steaming bowl of freshly prepared noodles with fried eggs emerged from the stove.

Seated at the table, Claudia's hunger was undeniable.
