“What do you mean?”

“Nothing. I simply spoke without much thought. I'm heading for a shower!"

She gently pushed him aside, snatched pajamas and underwear from a nearby container, and then dashed into the bathroom.

Claudia secured the door but remembered that Bennett had gained entry to her room even after she had locked the door earlier.

With hurried steps, she set aside her clothes, unlocked the bathroom door and cautiously peered out. Addressing the man seated on her bed, she asked, "Do you happen to possess the bathroom key?"

Upon hearing her words, Bennett raised his gaze to meet hers, his lips curling into a subtle smile. "Would you like me to hold onto it?"

With a resounding click, Claudia firmly secured the door once more, ensuring it was tightly locked.

It momentarily slipped her mind that the bathroom door could only be locked from the inside, devoid of an external keyhole. Unless he forcibly broke the door, Bennett would remain barred from entry.

Claudia's hand grazed the doorknob and, at Last, she exhaled a relieved sigh.

Though Limited to locking from the inside, the bathroom door dissuaded her from indulging in an extended shower.

As Claudia donned her attire, she stumbled upon a rather alluring piece of underwear she had been "persuaded" to purchase during a shopping excursion with Aurora.

She just grabbed a random set of underwear from the cabinet!

She wasn't trying to seduce him or whatever. Such thoughts had never truly crossed her mind!

Alright, perhaps they had crossed her mind but she'd merely kept them as fleeting contemplations!

As she examined the delicate undergarment in her hand, Claudia grappled with her decision but eventually adorned it, her cheeks flushed crimson.

Surely, she couldn't step out without anything underneath her PJs, could she?

Perhaps due to Bennett's presence in the bedroom, Claudia felt an acute unease. She cautiously cracked open the bathroom door and peered outside. Just as she was about to retract her head, she noticed Bennett's absence from the room.

Bewildered, she hastily swung open the door and stepped out.

The man who had occupied her bed was no longer there and the room's door was closed. She turned and spotted the key to the door resting on her dressing table.

Claudia's face blushed deeply. She recognized that she had misconstrued his intentions earlier.

“You're the one who is frivolous, Claudia," she muttered to herself.

With this realization, collapsed onto the bed. Why did her mind seem plagued with such impure notions all day Long?
