Chapter: 64
“What's it Like?"
Claudia was mortified. She wished she could just disappear
When did she become so bold?
And why did his throat have to be so enticing?
Unable to face Bennett, Claudia lowered her gaze, nervously gripping her dress. "I... Can we go get some food? I'm hungry.”
She couldn't believe she'd actually touched his Adam's apple!
Bennett, with a smirk, stood up and began pushing her wheelchair
“Sure, anything you want, Mrs. Dreskin."
As Claudia was wheeled away from the villa, a cool night breeze washed over her, alleviating her flushed face. Seeing Anthony at the villa's entrance, her embarrassment evaporated.
Bennett halted as they exited the villa, his hand naturally resting on Claudia's shoulder.
Claudia stiffened at the contact.
His warmth permeated her thin clothing, reigniting the blush on her face.
“Mr. Nixon, please stop bothering my wife. Her discomfort means my discomfort, and if you upset me, I may return the favor."
After saying that, he cast a glance at Claudia. “Let's head home, Cece."
Anthony stepped forward, blocking their path. “Cece, Bennett is not the right man for you. You don't need to be with him just to get back at me!"
Claudia looked at him icily. "I know my husband better than you. I thought through all my decisions. What makes you believe I married Bennett just to spite you? Do you really think I can't Live without you?"
With that, she slapped Anthony, who had bowed his head in the nick of time, or he would've missed her strike.
Anthony cradled his face, shocked. The stinging sensation confirmed Claudia had slapped him.
“I should've done this sooner! From now on, Anthony, we're nothing to each other!"
Claudia turned back to Bennett. Even without words, he knew what she meant. He wheeled her over to the Bentley's passenger side.
Bennett opened the door. "Need a hand?"
Claudia shook her head, blushing. "I can manage."
