Chapter: 659
Fearing Bennett's return, Claudia swiftly typed, "I'm sharing a bed with Bennett tonight. What should I do?”
Staring at the vacant bed in her own room, Aurora retorted, "Cece, don't you think you've gone a tad too far? How can you flaunt your affection during such a splendid Saturday evening with the Light of day still upon us?"
Feeling a rush of embarrassment, Claudia stammered, “No, I'm serious! I really need your help and I'm incredibly anxious
Aurora found herself at a loss for words.
“Why are you so nervous? I'm sure he'll take great care of you!”
Claudia was left utterly speechless.
How could she have ever thought that Aurora could rescue her from this predicament?
As Claudia struggled to find words, another message from Aurora popped up on her phone.
She entertained a glimmer of hope that Aurora had changed her mind and agreed to assist her. Just as she was about to check, the door swung open. Bennett entered, bearing a plate of meticulously sliced fruit and freshly squeezed juice.
Claudia's hand trembled, causing the phone to tumble right at Bennett's feet!
Panicked, Claudia reached out hastily to retrieve her phone but it was too late.
She watched as Bennett picked up her phone, glanced at the screen, and then turned his gaze towards her, remarking, “Miss Haywood had a rather good suggestion."
Confounded, Claudia took back her phone.
When she perused Aurora's message, she was rendered dumbfounded.
Had Bennett seen it?
Of course, he had!
"Do you still want to watch the movie?" he asked with a chuckle. Claudia glanced up at him and stammered, "We were just joking around."
“It's a splendid suggestion. If you'd rather not watch the movie, I'1L head upstairs and Light some scented candles for you."
Claudia found herself without words.
Was there still a chance to escape this situation?
Observing her blush, Bennett ceased his playful banter and selected a movie to play, urging, “Come closer."
As he uttered those words, he reached out and enfolded her in his arms. Claudia instinctively looked up at him, while he gazed down and remarked, "I didn't get to hold you earlier."
She blushed, wanting to retort that they hadn't kissed either.
Yet, she felt too timid to say such a thing out loud, perhaps due to Aurora's words still echoing in her mind.
