Chapter: 666
Claudia was left without words.
She probably shouldn't have brought it up!
Right after their conversation, Bennett emerged from the bathroom.
His black V-necked pajama hung loosely. Fresh from the shower, his skin seemed to almost glow.
Claudia glanced up and was momentarily taken aback by the sight of his bare chest, illuminated by the Light.
She quickly turned her gaze away and shifted to the side, making space for him with her blanket.
“Done with your shower?"
Bennett dried his hair with a towel and sat on the bed's edge. He noticed the phone next to her and casually inquired, “Chatting with Miss Haywood?"
Given Aurora's revelation about her father, Claudia promptly showed Bennett their conversation, sharing, “Aurora said something might be off with Dad. I'm thinking of visiting tomorrow."
“Alright ."
Bennett glanced at the messages on her phone before handing it back, "I'LL just quickly dry my hair."
“Sure.”
Claudia accepted her phone, but soon after, a yawn sneaked past her lips.
She felt extremely sleepy.
Setting her phone on the bedside table, the realization hit her; tonight, she'd be sharing the bed with Bennett.
It caused her stomach to flutter with nervous anticipation.
The hairdryer's sound from the bathroom stopped, and in that silence, Claudia's heartbeat seemed to echo loudly in her ears, quickening with every moment.
Before long, Bennett emerged from the bathroom.
His hair, which had been wet, now Looked fluffy and dry.
As Claudia admired his hair, she silently gave credit to their impressive hairdryer.
Her train of thought was interrupted when she felt a shift in the bed. Bennett settled into bed.
Claudia observed him lift his hand to adjust the blanket, and suddenly, he rolled both her and the blanket toward him.
Fresh from his shower, a soft woodsy aroma lingered around him, accompanied by the clear scent of shampoo.
A fragrance she also wore.
