Chapter: 69
Bennett hit the off button on the TV, making the surveillance feed vanish.
Setting down the remote, Bennett glanced at Claudia and added deliberately, "I failed to mention, we've only got one bedroom in this place."
Claudia was left speechless.
Was Bennett kidding her?
Unconvinced, she hesitated, and then ventured, "Only one bedroom in a villa this grand?"
“Seems Like you don't trust my word.”
Bennett stood up and walked towards her.
As he neared, Claudia watched with curiosity, questioning, "What's the matter?"
“Let me give you a tour.”
As he approached, the scent of wood filled Claudia's senses. Bennett pulled her into his arms again. Parting her lips, she intended to declare her ability to walk alone, but in the end, her words dissolved into silence.
No big deal. After all, it wasn't their first close encounter.
Claudia let her worries fade.
Without delay, Bennett hoisted her up the staircase. The doors upstairs mirrored the wall color, making it tricky for Claudia to identify the rooms.
Initially, he showed her the study, then the gym, and finally, the bedroom down the hall.
The bedroom was spacious. Besides the bed, there was a walk-in closet spanning over 20 square meters, and a 10 square meter bathroom.
Claudia was placed on the bed, and as soon as she found her balance, Bennett informed her, "The first basement floor is the entertainment area, and the second basement floor houses the wine cellar.”
Each section of the vast villa was impeccably planned.
After surveying the upstairs, Claudia felt that having a one-bedroom arrangement in this four-story villa might be acceptable.
The partitioning of the spaces seemed logical, each room arranged just right...
Interrupting her contemplation, Bennett voiced, "I'm off for a shower."
With that, he disappeared into the bathroom, leaving Claudia alone on the bed.
The bed was rather expansive.
