Chapter: 695
Aurora had sent Claudia a message.
Upon closer inspection, however, Bennett noticed that she had two unopened messages. The first one belonged to Aurora, while the other was from Mathews.
Bennett stared at the phone for a moment before he went to turn the lights off. He then climbed onto the bed and pulled Claudia into his arms.
The movement woke her up a little. Without opening her eyes, she mumbled, “Bennett?”
"Yes?"
“I Like you so much."
The man's lips rose ever-so-slightly in the darkness
"I guess I'll let you go this time," Bennett mumbled.
Claudia had no idea that her husband almost got angry again Last night. She was already asleep by the time Bennett finished his shower, and when she woke up the next morning, he was not on the bed anymore.
She got to bed before he did, but for some reason, he managed to wake up earlier than her.
Claudia wiped her face and resolved to get up early starting tomorrow. Bennett had to attend a meeting that morning. After breakfast, Claudia saw him off.
They made their way slowly to the door. Then, Bennett wrapped an arm around her waist and said, "I'll go to the company now. We'll have dinner with my uncle and aunt tonight.”
Claudia nodded.
“I know. Be careful on your way.”
A minute passed, but Bennett still did not let her go.
“Don't you have a meeting this morning?" Claudia asked in confusion. Even though he was the company's chairman, he could not be late for important meetings.
“That's right."
Bennett added in a whisper, "Aren't you forgetting something, Mrs. Dreskin?"
Claudia blinked at him quizzically. "I. What am I forgetting?"
Was she meant to be doing something this morning?
Bennett clicked his tongue in dismay.
Then, he dipped his head and planted a kiss on her lips.
“Don't forget about that next time, Mrs. Dreskin."
He patted her on the head before turning around and walking out of the door. Claudia stayed rooted to her spot, her cheeks red.
