Chapter: 703
It was time to take a shower and go to bed.
Entering the master bedroom, she found Bennett Lounging on the couch, signaling her with a gesture. "Over here."
Claudia was confused when hearing that. What was he going to do?
Casting a glance at him, Claudia hesitated and remarked, "You seem like you're waving at a Little pup."
“I'm not calling for a puppy.”
He sat on the couch, eyes softening as they met hers.
With a playful arch of her brow, Claudia stepped closer.
Just as she approached, his chuckle reached her ears. "I was signaling a bunny.”
She was momentarily lost for words.
In any case, she didn't seem like a human being in his eyes.
She turned around, intending to leave, but Bennett's swiftness caught her off guard.
In an instant, she found herself cradled in his embrace. "Stay put, just let me hold you a moment.”
He looked down at her with a smile in his dark eyes.
The phrase “stay put" felt almost hypnotic in his voice. Claudia found herself Looking up at him, frozen in place.
As she smelled the woody fragrance of Bennett, she couldn't resist raising her hand.
Could she perhaps feel her husband's toned abs?
She didn't have any ulterior motives; she was simply curious and wanted to feel it!
With that thought, Claudia's hand began to move.
She clung tightly to Bennett's waist, and even through their clothes she could distinctly sense the firmness of his physique.
As her heartbeat quickened, her fingers trailed from his back around to his front. Despite her expectations, Claudia felt nothing out of the ordinary.
She subtly adjusted her position to hide her movement, and then her hand landed on the shirt button, delicately undoing it.
The woman wrapped in his embrace let her hands wander. The heat from her touch was palpable through his thin shirt.
A deep intensity took over Bennett's eyes, and there was a noticeable gulp. Almost instinctively, he secured her wrist, his voice a raspy whisper, "Were you trying to feel around?"
Caught off-guard, Claudia's eyes fluttered as she replied, “I wasn't feeling anything.”
