Chapter: 750
The makeup artist, a friendly young Lady, continued warmly, “Alright! Shall I start doing your makeup now?"
“Absolutely, thank you."
There were only six people in the dressing room, a pair of makeup artists, two assistants, plus Claudia and Mathews.
"Miss Marshall, your skin is beautifully pale! It's lucky I brought with me the lightest shade of foundation today!"
Feeling shy due to the praise, Claudia blushed, and said, "Thank you."
"Your skin is so fine, it almost feels wrong to put on too much foundation!"
The makeup process spanned two hours, during which Claudia continuously received compliments.
Once the makeup was done, Trudy's assistant escorted both Claudia and Mathews to the Location set for the photo shoot, scheduling the morning for still photography and reserving the afternoon for a two-minute video shoot.
Not being accustomed to posing for pictures, Claudia struggled to find the right expressions, necessitating several retakes.
As the photography session wrapped up, Claudia asked Joann to distribute they beverages she ordered to everyone there.
By a happy accident, Mathews' assistant had also brought along a selection of refreshments.
Witnessing this, Trudy's assistant expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Miss Marshall and Mr. Gomez!"
Exchanging a glance with Mathews, who was offering her an open bottle of soda, Claudia found herself being asked, “Feeling exhausted?" Shaking her head, she responded, "Not at all."
Despite her words, she was indeed tired but felt too shy to admit it. She felt partly responsible for the numerous reshoots necessitated by her initial awkwardness before the camera.
“Rest up. The afternoon session will demand more energy. Let's go. It's time for Lunch," Mathews suggested warmly.
Before Claudia had the chance to reply, the sudden ringing of her phone caught her attention.
It was a call from Bennett. This left her feeling somewhat confused.
Seeing the caller ID, Mathews grabbed his drink and walked away, giving Claudia privacy.
However, as he turned away, the warmth in his eyes faded.
As Claudia's phone buzzed, she quickly gestured to Joann that she would answer the call.
Joann nodded.
“I'll get you some food," she mouthed.
The weight of their impending task pressed heavily on them that day. Shooting a short film right after Lunch was essential; otherwise, they risked not completing it by day's end. Consequently, they opted for a quick lunch, bracing themselves for the demanding shoot ahead.
Trudy's assistant explained the situation to them and apologized for the arrangements.
