Chapter: 754
In light of Claudia‘s skepticism, she abandoned her efforts to make her point.

Claudia tended to be oblivious and overlook the obvious, even when it was right in front of her. It wasn't the first time it had happened.

Sooner or later, she would discover the truth and realize that Joann wasn't talking nonsense!

Despite Claudia not observing anything unusual, Joann's words continued to nag at the back of her mind.

During the afternoon shoot for the video, Claudia was somewhat preoccupied and struggled to focus on the task at hand.

The director suggested she take a 20-minute break to regain her composure; otherwise, they risked shooting until midnight .

Claudia was overwhelmed with guilt. She had never been a burden to anyone since childhood, and she hadn't anticipated that she would be causing delays for others so frequently today

Joann went to fetch a bottle of water for her. However, after a brief moment, a bottle of mineral water seemingly materialized before her. Claudia assumed Joann had handed it to her and reached out to take it.

As Claudia casually glanced up, she realized Mathews was the one who had offered her the bottle.

Her eyes widened in surprise, and she coughed involuntarily. She looked at Mathews with embarrassment.

“I'm sorry for slowing things down."

“It's nothing. You haven't filmed or experienced something like this before. It's normal to make mistakes," Mathews reassured her.

As Joann returned with the water, she noticed Mathews offering a bottle of water to Claudia.

Oh, what a coincidence! I knew I was right! Joann thought.

Her alarm bells went off. How could she have allowed the two of them to be alone together?

If someone were to take a photo of them together, Mathews’ fans could create quite a commotion, not to mention the potential scandal for Claudia, given that she was married.

Joann had always been a steadfast friend and supporter of Claudia and Bennett's marriage.

She was determined to prevent Mathews from getting any closer to Claudia!

Mathews' reassuring words only made Claudia feel even more guilty.

She held Joann responsible for filling her mind with such nonsense earlier. If it weren't for that, she could have focused solely on filming. But instead, the whole time, she wondered if Mathews had any feelings for her like Joann said. The thought constantly plagued her, diverting her attention from her filmmaking efforts.

“What's bothering you? Tell me; maybe I can help you," Mathews inquired, arching an eyebrow as he Looked at her.

Claudia took a sip of water, briefly meeting his gaze.

“It's nothing I'll manage to sort it out on my own."

After a thoughtful pause, she ventured, "May I ask you a somewhat personal question, Mathews?"
