Chapter: 76
He couldn't find any way to solve the problem while waiting outside the villa.
Maybe tomorrow morning, he would even witness them emerging from their haven of love, arm in arm.
Anthony was completely unaware of the journey back, as if he were a soulless puppet. Lost in a daze, he drove back to the Nixon family's villa.
At such a late hour, the Nixons would ordinarily be fast asleep.
But that night was an exception, as light spilled out from the Nixon family's villa.
Anthony maneuvered his car into the garage. As he ascended to the second floor, Henry awaited, his countenance etched with a stern demeanor.
“Where have you been?"
Hoping to prevent an altercation, Rachel intervened, patting Anthony gently. “Why so late? Were you held up at the office?”
"I was at the Marshall family's residence."
Henry snorted at his revelation. “The Marshall family? Why would you go there? Doesn't their rejection embarrass you enough?"
Rachel's visage contorted, the memory of the snide remarks from the rich women that day still fresh.
Rachel harbored a certain level of dissatisfaction towards Claudia.
Despite his in-Laws' influence, Jace's lack of business acumen had led to significant declines in their company over the past few years.
The only reasons Rachel had reluctantly agreed to the marriage were the longstanding friendship between Henry and Jace, and Claudia's influential grandfather.
Claudia's recent actions, which had dragged the Nixon family name through the mud on social media, had only inflamed Rachel's disdain.
She exploded, “Anthony, don't seek Claudia anymore! She is now Bennett's wife, and after what she did, we are not obliged to grovel for her forgiveness!
Listen to me, I'LL find you a more deserving girl!"
Anthony remained silent, offering neither agreement nor objection. ALL he muttered was, "I'm tired."
With that, he turned and headed to his room.
Henry's rage was unleashed onto the innocent teacup resting on the table, startling Rachel.
Rachel shot Henry a stern glance, retorting, "You have the audacity to be furious? You were the one who picked Claudia as our daughter-in-law.
Now we are the Laughing stock of society!"
