Chapter: 791
“This bracelet is called 'Forever.' If you give it to your loved one, you can spend the rest of your life together. It may seem insignificant, but it holds the power to bind two souls together for eternity," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
Even a moment's hesitation wasn't enough to make Bennet want to buy the bracelet. But it was Long enough to allow the elderly woman to explain.
“My husband and I have cherished and adored each other for fifty-eight years. We've stood by each other's sides through thick and thin. I can say that we've spent a lifetime together. This bracelet may not hold much monetary value. But it is a testament to our enduring love. If it weren't for my husband lying in the hospital, awaiting funds for his treatment, I wouldn't have been willing to part with it, even if it meant my demise. Young man, do you also have a beloved woman?"
Yes, he also had a beloved woman. In the end, he purchased the bracelet for $9999.
He had then gifted the bracelet to his beloved woman.
Bennett Lowered his head so that he could look Claudia straight in the eye. "I just want to be with you forever, Mrs. Dreskin."
His words instantly caused Claudia's cheeks to redden.
As she examined the bracelet on her wrist, a grin spread across her face.
Forever was a long time.
Yet she really looked forward to it!
She ran her finger over the bracelet and said, “Thank you. I like it very much."
Bennett studied her for a moment before asking, "Do you want to take a nap?"
Claudia hesitated to answer, but when she was about to do so, the doorbell rang.
A sigh of relief escaped her lips.
“The invitations must have arrived. I'LL go down and get them."
With that, she turned around and bolted out of the room.
Bennett did not try to stop her and just watched her leave. When the door closed, he shook his head in amusement, a fond smile on his face. He then went to the walk-in closet to grab a pair of pajamas and walked into the bathroom.
Once she was outside the room, Claudia paused, glanced back at the door, and then headed downstairs with her Lips pursed.
She reached the first floor just in time to see Marcia enter the house with the package.
Marcia beamed when she saw Claudia. "Mrs. Dreskin, the invitations you mentioned earlier are here."
Claudia took the package and tore the packaging, revealing a gift box. Next, she opened the gift box and took out two invitation cards from it.
Aurora did a wonderful job getting them two invitations, one for Claudia and one for Bennett.
Bennett and Claudia could probably enter the venue even without an invitation, but having one would not hurt.
Claudia examined the invitation cards. It was clear that they had been specially made just for them.
