Chapter: 844
Claudia had planned accordingly, but then Bennett entered the equation Claudia bit into a shrimp and ventured a question.
“Do you know how to operate a motorboat?"
“Just the basics," Bennett admitted.
“Would you like to give it a try?" Claudia's face lit up at the thought.
Placing the last shrimp in her plate, Bennett meticulously cleaned his fingers with a wet wipe. "I'm not particularly skilled at it."
He sounded interested but hesitant.
Her eyes sparkled instantly as she took the hint.
“No worries, let me show you how!"
"Sure."
A wave of enthusiasm washed over Claudia. She had never taken a man out on a motorboat before, only Aurora.
Aurora, ever the novice but eager, would criticize Claudia for slowing down and accuse her of intentional Lagging if she sped up.
Whether Bennett would be nervous or not remained an unknown.
This sparked a mischievous thought in Claudia's mind.
She smiled, her expression giving her away, yet Bennett didn‘t call her out on it.
His curiosity piqued, he wondered when his wife would inquire about the AR195 motorboat .
Claudia popped the last shrimp into her mouth; she was full to the brim. She patted her stomach and sipped some watermelon juice.
“I can't eat another bite."
"Feeling full?"
She shook her head. "I'm fine."
Her physical activities had indeed ramped up her appetite today. Bennett offered her a napkin and checked his watch.
“It's just one. You've got time for a nap."
Though Claudia was about to decline, the glare of the sun outside made her reconsider. "Alright."
The pair left the restaurant, and upon reaching the elevator, they ran into familiar faces.
Kayla and Duncan. The surprise was mutual.
