Chapter: 925
“Before I came here, I read some of the reviews left on the official page of this restaurant, Almost all of them are negative feedback! Also, whoever in charge of the restaurant's customer service is very rude. I don't think dealing with this matter will be easy."

Even though Claudia did not read the reviews, she knew the restaurant's service was poor because of what she and Aurora went through last night.

“If they can't be reasoned with, we'll leave immediately and file a complaint with the FDA and CPSC."

"Cece, you're awesome," Aurora said as she looked at Claudia with awe in her eyes.

“Well, I don't want to waste my time arguing with them

Considering the number of people who could become sick from eating at the restaurant, Claudia decided she could not stand by and do nothing. In addition, she could not let last night's agony be for naught.

The outcome was exactly what Claudia had expected, The restaurant's owner denied that his establishment was to blame for their food poisoning, claiming instead that Claudia and Aurora had gotten sick from something else they had eaten.

Aurora's face darkened with rage. However, Claudia knew that they would get nothing by arguing with the owner, so she grabbed Aurora's arm, and they walked out of the restaurant together. Then, without wasting any time, they contacted the authorities.

A few days later, the restaurant's owner contacted Claudia and Aurora to discuss compensation with them.

Claudia already had a lawyer ready to handle the case, and she was surprised when the restaurant's owner reached out to them. In the end, though, she and Aurora still chose to show up for negotiation.

They were not complaining for the sake of financial gain, but it was their legal right to do so. The restaurant's owner agreed to compensate them, but he only offered them a refund on their meal and payment for their medical bills.

He did not approve of Aurora's proposed compensation for her missed shifts and her mental damage from the experience.

It was not even a lot of money they asked for; the restaurant only had to fork over around four or five thousand dollars.

The restaurant's owner, though, remained uncooperative.

Aurora slammed her hand on the table in exasperation and snarled, "Why did you ask us to come here if you're not going to pay for it, then? Do you really think paying us one thousand dollars is enough? Do you take us for some beggars?

I had to request a day off, so four hundred dollars would be taken out of my pay, but you thought reimbursing us for the cost of the food and the medical expenses would suffice.

Fine, then. You don't have to compensate us, See you in court."

Claudia had a cold expression on her face as she grabbed Aurora's hand. She shot the restaurant owner a glare and declared, “I guess our negotiation ends here."

Following a brief exchange of glances, she and Aurora left the establishment together.

They planned to file a lawsuit against the restaurant afterward.

Upon exiting the restaurant, Aurora could not help but ask, "Are they trying to trick us? They were so polite on the phone when they called us, but the moment we arrived, they accused us of blackmailing them.

They probably think we're only here for money. We have every right to demand compensation! I had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night because I was in so much pain. Is my suffering only worth one thousand dollars?"

In addition, Aurora called an ambulance to get to the hospital, so her medical expenses alone exceeded one thousand dollars.

Claudia, on the other hand, was taken to the hospital by Bennett, and she only spent a few hours in the emergency room, Therefore, her medical expenses amounted to only around eight hundred dollars. The price of their meal was about four hundred dollars, so the restaurant owed them at least two thousand and five hundred dollars.
