Chapter: 987
Claudia was not making any sense. But her tone was serious.

Bennett looked her straight in the eyes before stating, “I wish you'd always be as happy as you are right now."

Claudia was taken aback for a second. But she quickly recovered. She pushed herself up slightly and kissed him on the lips. Afterward, she leaned into his ear and whispered, "I love you so much, Bennett."

How did she get such a wonderful husband? Even though he knew she was talking nonsense, he still took her seriously.

She was glad that he did not think she was being childish.

Bennett was right. She was really happy today.

Bennett knew that Claudia would forget whatever she said tonight the moment she woke up tomorrow.

He took pride in his composure. But it did not take much for the words "I love you" to shake it.

His eyes gleamed with barely restrained desire as he stared at

Claudia, who was resting her head on his shoulder.

All of a sudden, the lights in the living room came on.

"The lights are on. You've successfully made your wish," Claudia stated as she straightened up.

Bennett chuckled.

"What about you? What wish did you make?"

He turned off the lights in the entryway before carrying Claudia to the stairs.

The question made Claudia blush immediately.

Her words were, for the lack of a better word, complete nonsense.

Even the most cynical fairy tales would never trick kids into making a wish just before turning on the Light.

So, instead of making her own wishes, she simply stared at Bennett's handsome features as he made his.

Now, she did not know how to answer his question.

She also did not want to Lie.

After a long pause, Claudia ducked her head and whispered, "I won't tell you."

Bennett quirked an eyebrow and smiled. But he did not press further for an answer.

He carried her all the way to the master bedroom and gently placed her on the sofa.
