Chapter: 1124
“But your career should have ended on a more satisfying note..." she remarked.

“None of that matters," Josiah responded. "As long as you're not angry with me, it's all good."

After pondering for a moment, he decided to confide in her, saying, “Isaac threatened me using my wife and child as leverage. I had no choice..."

“I understand. I know the kind of person Isaac is," Camila assured him. "I don't know how he got wind of something and discovered that the body wasn't yours, which made him come for me." Josiah still felt that he couldn't have pulled it off more perfectly.

He couldn't fathom how Isaac had found out.

Though Camila couldn't comprehend it before, it was no Longer relevant in the present moment.

She pulled out a stack of research materials from her bag and handed them to Josiah.

“These are research data on total artificial heart. I believe they could be immensely helpful for those conducting this research in our country, but I'm uncertain about who to give them to."

Josiah looked at her in surprise. "Shouldn't these be presented at the seminar?"

Camila chuckled sarcastically.

“Boundaries exist everywhere, even in matters of life."

Josiah immediately grasped her meaning.

“Leave it to me," he said.

“I trust you with it. I hope it can bring about a more proactive healthcare system in our country."

Josiah gazed at her, filled with admiration in his eyes. "I was right about you."

He was genuinely impressed.

Impressed by Camila's abilities and vision.

She had exceeded his expectations.

It seemed she possessed courage beyond her years

“These materials were obtained without permission, so I need to hurry back to the hotel as soon as possible," Camila said.

Josiah nodded. "Then be careful."

Camila assured him that she would.

As she rose and walked toward the bedroom door, Josiah called out to her, "Did Isaac give you any trouble?"

Camila turned around, wondering why Josiah would ask such a question.

Josiah continued, "I told Isaac that you had left him for another man and that your child was someone else's..." He quickly clarified, “I did it solely to provoke him at the time. He had done me a great disservice."
