Chapter: 1542
Throughout the night, she tossed and turned, unable to find sleep.
Suddenly, she remembered the diary she had misplaced earlier and what Isaac had mentioned.
There seemed to be a connection.
Could it be related to the diary?
She turned to look at Isaac, who was sound asleep. Quietly, she got out of bed.
Without turning on the lights, she cautiously opened the door and descended the stairs.
With the aid of the handrail, she made her way downstairs slowly and carefully. Upon reaching the study, she discovered the diary and opened it.
At first, it seemed to contain nothing but some personal notes she had written. However, when she stumbled upon a diary entry about Harland, she was left stunned.
Camila had completely forgotten that she had penned those words.
Recollections flooded her mind-how she had a heated argument with Marvin and stormed out in anger. It had been a rainy day, and she ended up drenched. Upon Harland's return, he found her alone and sheltered her with an umbrella.
Back then, she had thought Harland to be incredibly charming.
He possessed a gentle and caring demeanor.
At the time, she must have been around fourteen or fifteen years old, just beginning to experience the stirrings of affection.
And so, she had written down her joyful emotions.
Now, the thought of it made her blush with embarrassment.
How could she have done such a thing?
Now she finally understood why Isaac had always seemed peculiar. It was all because of this.
But when had he read it?
Upon reflection, she realized it had been in the study, where he could have perused it at any time.
Now it seemed she would have to dispose of it and explain everything to Isaac clearly.
