Chapter: 1549
ALL she could do was wait.

Around four o'clock in the morning, Camila finally caught sight of Forrest. He had a large burn on his arm, which had been treated. He was lying weakly on the bed.

“What happened?"

Camila felt strange. The Walters family resided in a standalone villa.

When it was renovated, there should have been a fire alarm. Even if the fire alarm had failed, escaping wouldn't have been difficult.

After all, it wasn't a high-rise building.

Forrest had fallen into a deep sleep. When he woke up amidst the smoke, he felt weak all over.

As a former doctor, he understood that his health was not in good condition.

However, he didn't have time to dwell on it at the moment. He escorted Laura out, and in the process of saving his mother, he sustained burns.

"I don't know exactly how it happened. The police have conducted an investigation," Forrest explained.

Camila asked, "Where is Laura? Why haven't I seen her?"

"Don't worry. She's fine. She's just frightened and unconscious. She hasn't regained consciousness yet. You can visit her later and offer comfort," Forrest assured.

"Is she so scared that she fainted?" Camila furrowed her brow. Laura used to work as a forensic expert, dealing with all sorts of corpses every day. How could she be frightened to the point of fainting from a fire?

Laura was not someone easily scared.

She could handle such situations calmly.

How could she have fainted out of fear?

It seemed unbelievable!

Could memory loss alter a person's character?

“What are you thinking about?" Forrest asked, noticing Camila's absent-mindedness.

"Nothing," Camila replied.
