Chapter: 1563
"To the company. I have some work to attend to," Forrest replied, starting the engine.

Laura asked with a frown, “Then why are you taking me there?"

"I want to be with you at all times."

Forrest freed one hand to hold hers, adding, "You don't have much to do at home, so just stay with me at the company. After I finish my work, I'll take you to enjoy some delicious food."

In truth, he was worried that Aldrin might reveal their past to Laura.

Even though she had lost her memory, Aldrin's words could instill doubt within her.

That would undoubtedly affect their relationship.

It had been a hard-won opportunity for Forrest to start afresh with Laura, and he wouldn't allow anyone to ruin it.

Laura was well aware of this and asked deliberately, “Are you worried that person might say something to me?"

"How could that be?" Forrest quickly denied.

"He's young and doesn't know how to handle things properly. I'm concerned about your well- being."

Laura silently believed that Forrest was the one who could potentially hurt her.

But she didn't let it show on her face. Instead, she smiled and said, "I will trust you. I won't see him again or pay attention to his rumors and nonsense."

"Okay." Forrest felt satisfied as he held her hand.

“Drive safely." She gently pulled her hand back.

Forrest gripped the steering wheel with both hands and replied, "Don't worry. I'm good at driving."

Laura leaned back lazily.

Upon reaching the company, Laura settled on the sofa while Forrest attended to his business.

She idly played with her mobile phone, searching for information on what to do after getting burnt.

She learned that spicy, irritating food, and seafood were not recommended. They could trigger allergies and irritation, causing the wound to swell and itch during the healing process.
