Chapter: 1567
During the journey back home, Laura drove the car.

Upon arriving home, she assisted Forrest to his room and cautioned, “You're injured. Don't take a shower today."

"I'm thirsty."

Forrest just wanted to drink water.

"I'll get it for you." While Laura went to fetch water, she discreetly slipped a pill into it.

At that moment, Forrest was completely unaware of her actions. His usual sharp medical intuition seemed to have vanished as he was consumed by the intense heat coursing through his body.

After drinking the water, he began to feel sleepy.

Laura sat on the edge of the bed, attentively watching him until he fell into a deep sleep.

Once she was certain he was truly asleep, she silently exited the room.

She went out in search of Aldrin.

To her surprise, Aldrin was already waiting for her at the doorstep!

Upon spotting Laura, Aldrin sprinted towards her, wrapping her in an immediate hug.

"You do remember me, don't you? The way you looked at me today suggested so. I thought I was mistaken, but it seems I was right. I'm relieved that you came out."

Laura replied, "I don't remember you."

Her words brought a wave of disappointment upon Aldrin.

He stood there in shock.

“You can forget anyone else, but not me!"

He gently placed his hand on Laura's shoulder, his gaze locked onto her.

Laura stood firm, looking back at him, and said, “Even though I don't recall you, I acknowledge your kindness towards me and that your words ring true. The excitement you displayed upon seeing me and the upset at the sight of Forrest earlier told me you're a good man."

Aldrin's excitement reached a point where his eyes moistened.
