Chapter: 1675
Hana suggested, "You could go study in another country, or pick a place you like and settle there. I can offer you a good amount of money, enough for a comfortable life. What do you think?"
Laura stood up and declared, "I don't need your money. I won't bother your son. But you should know, he's the one who's been after me. It's high time you got him to back off and leave me alone."
With that, she walked away briskly.
Hana understood Laura's words.
Forrest had always been in love with her.
She wondered why Forrest behaved this way.
His father had a mistress and had betrayed her.
Hana herself had never strayed.
Yet, she didn't feel much love for her husband anymore.
But Forrest, he was so full of love and affection.
Forrest's feelings for Laura had always remained the same.
Her influence was what made him tough.
He was deeply smitten with Laura, but being with her was impossible.
If it weren't for that, many things would have been different.
Half an hour later, Forrest found himself in a hospital ward.
"When's he going to come around?" Hana inquired.
"The doctor thinks he'll wake up shortly after the anesthesia wears off," the nurse answered.
Hana nodded, her concern evident.
Sensing her anxiety, the nurse reassured her, "No need to worry. It was a minor surgery. He'll be ready to go home as soon as he's up."
“Okay, thanks," Hana replied, settling in to wait for Forrest's awakening.
