Chapter: 1715
Work wasn't over, and Hyman's issue was still unresolved.
So, she didn't go after Isaac.
Camila decided she needed to talk to Isaac that night.
So, she shifted her mood and headed for the director's office.
Upon arriving, she knocked on the door, but there was no response.
Someone mentioned that he might be in the garden behind the office.
Camila then made her way to the garden in search of him.
In the garden, she quickly spotted the director engaged in conversation with Hilaria.
From a short distance, Camila could catch bits of their conversation.
“If you want to keep your job, talk to Camila," the director suggested.
But Hilaria was resistant, asserting, “I've done nothing wrong."
The director questioned, "So, you don't want to work here anymore?
Before Hilaria could respond, he added, "Camila's approachable, but her husband's a different story."
Hilaria, with a hint of frustration, questioned, "You knew about her and Isaac. Why didn't you inform me?"
"I assumed you were aware," the director replied, adding, "You've always hinted at someone backing her, right? Why make such a foolish move?"
Hilaria defended, “We only speculated in private about who's behind her. We never really knew."
"Do you understand now?" The director, patting her on the shoulder, advised, "Consider what's more important. Is it your pride or your job? I can't intervene in this. It involves Isaac. Maybe Camila could help, but you know how Isaac operates."
Distraught, Hilaria admitted, "I just can't deal with it."
Realizing he couldn't assist her further, the director turned to leave and then noticed Camila standing nearby!
Just as the director was about to speak, Camila abruptly turned and walked away.
